               Bill Ragans - Head Coach

Coach Bill Ragans enters his 16th season of coaching football, 4 years of college and 12 years of high school.  A native of Live Oak, Florida, Bill was a three sport athlete at Suwannee High School playing football, basketball, and baseball, before graduating in 1986. Following high school, he accepted a football scholarship at Florida State University where he was a four year letterman, and a two year starter, serving as a defensive captain his senior year.  He signed as a free agent with the Seattle Seahwaks in 1991 and played in three pre-season games before being released following an injury.  He played on full season in the World League of American Football with the Frankfurt Galaxy in the spring of 1992 before injuries ended his playing career.

He coached college football at Florida State as a Graduate Assistant (93-95), and was the Secondary Coach at Valdosta State (96).  He has coached on the High school level throughout the Big Bend area, as well as South Georgia.  He was had stops at Suwannee County as an assistant, and Madison County, Leon High and Colquitt County (GA), all as the Defensive Coordinator.  He is in his second stint here at Leon high serving as defensive Coordinator for now Athletic Director Mark Feely.  This is Coach Ragans' first head coaching job.  Bill is married to the former Stephanie Kay George of Ft. Myers.  They have two children, William Cecil Ragans III " Tripp" and Bailey Kay Ragans.

 

 

 

 

               Mike Spencer - Offensive Line Coach

Coach Spencer is a graduate of DeLand High School.  He atteded Catawba College for a year before transferring to Florida State University.  Coach Spencer teaches both American History and World History at Leon High School.  Coach Spencer is also the Head Coach of the Boy's Weightlifting team at Leon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

               Matt Williams - Inside Reciever / FB Coach

Coach Williams played football for Coach Carl Madison at Milton High, where he was a 3 year letterman at Tight End.  He received a scholarship to play for Troy State.  He eventually transferred to Florida State, where he received his B.A. in Philosophy and M.S. in Political Science.  Coach Williams teaches AP Human Geography and History at Leon.  Coach Williams is also the Head Coach of Girl's Weightlifting at Leon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

               Jeff Crum - Defensive Line Coach

Coach Crum was born and raised in Tallahassee.  He played college football for Newberry College located in South Carolina.  Coach Crum was the Defensive Line Coach for North Florida Christian School before joining the Leon Staff.  He is married to the former Kim Walker of Tallahassee and they have 3 Children - Ashley (2006 Leon Graduate), Jeffery ( Leon Baseball), and Walker (Leon Golf and Baseball).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

               Jim Sauls -  Assistant Head Coach

Coach Sauls is a Leon graduate where he played offensive guard for Coaches Bill sexton and Gene Cox.  He played at F.S.U. and Mississippi College, and graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1972.  He completed his Master's Degree at F.A.M.U in 1977.  He coached under Gene Cox for 17 Years and was head coach of Leon Football for 10 years.  Coach Sauls was inducted into the Leon High Football Hall of Fame and the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2001.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

               Dominic Robinson - Outside Reciever Coach

 The Leon Lions Welcome Dominic Robinson to his first Season on the staff where he will coach the cornerbacks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

               Kyler Hall - Safeties Coach

Kyler hails from Live Oak, Florida where he attended Suwanne High School.  He played college football at Florida State University from 2001-2006.  Kyler graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education.  Kyler was recently married to the former Elisa Velasco.
