Leon High School Football
A tradition of excellence

 

Leon High School has fielded a football team since 1916, and has a long history of proud football programs.  The football program at Leon is one of the oldest and most highly revered aspects of the school's historic tradition.  It is one of the most successful programs in Florida.

The 2003 Season:

In the year 2000 former Leon head coach, Gene Cox, compiled a book focusing on the winning tradition throughout Leon's history.  The book is "Go Big Red! - A History of Leon High School Football."  Cox coached at Leon from 1963-1990.  For more information regarding his book click here.  To contact Coach Cox, click here .
